John Wilkes Booth was born on May 10, 1838. Booth matured handsomely to become a famous theater actor who enamored all who met him. He performed in Ford's theater regularly and new the building well. He continued to perform at Ford's theater until mid March of 1865, Leaving the stage in order to concentrate on crafting his notorious plot to kidnap U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.
On April 14, 1865 Booths original plan to kidnap the President turned to cold blooded murder and History is made. The assassination of Abraham Lincoln is the first American Presidential assassination, and the country forever changed. Lincoln's successor Andrew Johnson would make history again as the first U.S. President to be Impeached.
