Franklin Roosevelt Timeline. A lifetime of events for the Thirty-second American President, both private and public.  Roosevelt served from 1933-1945. The only President in history elected to a third term. He continued his Presidency with an election to a fourth term. However, FDR died on April 12, 1945 early in his fourth term, at the age of 63. He was buried in Hyde Park, New York.
